The first ASCE Student Conference was held in the early 1940's. Since then, the 270 ASCE Student Chapters and 11 International Student Groups have formed 18 Student Conferences. Each Student Conference has a host school which is responsible for planning the event and making the arrangements for the student and faculty attendees. Every conference is different in agenda and participation. This year it is the honor of the University of Nevada, Reno to be the 2009 host of the Mid-Pacific Regional Conference. Thanks to UC Davis in 2008 and San Jose/Santa Clara in 2007, UNR has a lot to live up to. Our committee has a fun and exciting event planned for April 16th-17th, 2009. All events will be held in beautiful Reno, Nevada, with the majority of the events being held on campus. We hope the participants and spectators have a blast!
